City College Support Programs are designed to provide you with help and to help you enter and succeed in college.
Support Programs
CalWORKs
Counseling, work-study, book vouchers, and job assistance for students who are parents and receiving welfare benefits.
City Dream
Resource center and financial services for all students affected by immigration or citizenship issues.
Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS)
DSPS provides accommodations, counseling and additional academic help resources for city college students with a disability.
EOPS
Counseling, book loan, and other services for low income and educationally disadvantaged City College students.
Guardian Scholars Program
Provides current or former foster youth with services such as counseling, book vouchers, scholarships, transportation passes and referrals to community-based resources.
Homeless At-Risk Transitional Students Programs (HARTs)
Counseling, meal vouchers, transportation passes, book assistance, on-campus shower access and additional resources for students who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
Metro Transfer Program
The Metro Transfer program is a community for students who plan to transfer to a 4-year University and may benefit from additional support. Metro provides a course pathway, academic counseling, a resource room, tutoring and other resources.
Multicultural Retention Success Programs
Comprehensive, culturally specific, multilingual education programs and services that promote successful learning and student achievement in a multiculturally sensitive setting.
New Directions
An academic support program for formerly incarcerated and justice impacted students
Project SHINE
A service-learning program for City Students to build professional and personal skills through volunteer work with immigrant and elderly students in non-credit ESL classrooms.
Puente
Puente is a project designed to increase the number of educationally disadvantaged students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn college degrees, and return to the community as mentors and leaders to future generations.
Students Support Students
Peer mentoring, academic workshops, and student activities for under-served communities at ÃÈ·µ¼º½.
TRIO Writing Success Project
The Writing Success Project is designed for first-generation college students, low-income students, and students with disabilities.
Way-Pass
The Way-Pass program provides support, case management, support groups, workshops and resource referrals for formerly incarcerated women attending ÃÈ·µ¼º½.

Academic Counseling, community support, guidance through the GI Bill /VA Educational Benefits and wellness resources for our student Veterans.
