FREE City College Tuition and Aid for San Franciscans for Transfer Preparation and Job Training.
The Free City program provides free tuition for all San Francisco residents.
Free City can make it easier to work toward your ÃÈ·µ¼º½ goal, whether it be transfer preparation, job training, "upskilling" and career advancement, or life-long learning.
Students do not need to meet income requirements. Students can have already achieved a college certificate or degree. Yes, you may still be eligible!

Live in San Francisco AND
Have California residency or a non-resident exemption

Debt Relief through Free City's "Fresh Start" Program
As of Spring 2024, Free City eliminated San Francisco students' outstanding debts from Fall 2017 - Fall 2022. If you believe you are eligible for this debt relief, but see a balance on your account, contact the ÃÈ·µ¼º½ Bursar's Office, bursar@ccsf.edu.
