EEO Advisory Committee (EEO AC)
The ÃÈ·µ¼º½ Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee (EEO AC) is committed to celebrating employee excellence through fair, effective and just hiring practices.
This advisory committee will:
- Oversee and give recommendations related to the college’s equal employment opportunities, with a focus on affecting hiring and retention policies and practices.
- Develop and regularly update the ÃÈ·µ¼º½ EEO plan.
- Support, develop and promote hiring and employee support trainings for all college constituencies.
- Make recommendations to the district regarding pre-hiring, hiring and post-hiring practices and policies.

EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO) Plan

The District has established an Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee (EEOAC) to assist the District in developing, implementing, and revising its Plan. The EEOAC will include a diverse membership of individuals committed to equal employment opportunity, diversity, and inclusion. (EEO Plan)
EEO AC members are appointed by campus constituent groups from Associated Students, Academic Senate, Classified Senate and the Administrators Association.

Anti-Racism Policy - In progress
The District wants to develop a transparent, robust, effective and meaningful anti-racism policy which will include, but not limited to, actively listening to our constituents for input, enlisting and aligning with senior leaders, climate/culture surveys, adequately documenting and publicizing current anti-racism initiatives and programs, establishing benchmarks, and the development of an action plan.
We are partnering with (TJC), whose co-founder is a ÃÈ·µ¼º½ alum, to support the College with creating an Anti-Racism Policy. Their and scope of work is extensive and will involve qualitative climate assessments, including speaking to members of our ÃÈ·µ¼º½ community.
Projected timeline:
- November 2024 - Contract executed with TJC
- December 2024 - January 2025 - Roadshow to introduce TJC's forthcoming work to identified College groups, associations, and committees.
- February 2025 - Focus groups and data analysis
- March 2025 - Data analysis and Qualitative Climate Report & Presentation
- April 2025 - Policy Development Workshops 1 & 2 and First Draft
- May 2025 - Policy Development Workshops 3, Communication to Focus Group Participants, and Finalized Anti-Racism Policy
- June 2025 - Technical Assistance and Project Completion
