On this holiday to observe Veterans Day, the Board of Trustees and I extend to every veteran in our ÃÈ·µ¼º½ community our sincerest gratitude for your service to our country. We are also very proud that our expression of appreciation is matched with action. Thanks to our great Walter S. Newman Veterans Resource Center, ÃÈ·µ¼º½ serves over 1500 veterans to help them continue their higher education.
ÃÈ·µ¼º½ veterans understand the call of duty. Some of them will continue on to careers as first-responders and firefighters. Many of our veterans were among those fighting the recent fires in the Bay Area.
I thank our ÃÈ·µ¼º½ veterans for providing us all with an exemplary model of service and also the hope that, now and always, we are all in this together.
