The 18th Annual Fashion Show is “Audacious” for Spring 2019

City College of San Francisco (ȷ) proudly presents its Annual Fashion Show, Audacious, this weekend during the evenings of Saturday May 18th and Sunday May 19th. It will be held at the legendary Diego Rivera Theatre on Ocean Campus, which houses the renowned artist’s Pan American Unity mural.

The student-produced fashion show will feature collections from talented student designers who are excited to share their unique vision, and to compete for one of three scholarships from the Academy of Art University. Rounding out the show will be an array of eclectic looks created by up-and-coming student designers in the Fashion Gallery segment, and will conclude with live talent performances.

The Fashion Show welcomes the college community and the general public to a pre-show reception on Saturday starting at 5:00PM. On Sunday, after a VIP reception at 5:00PM, the show will kick off with a scholarship ceremony presented by the Academy of Art University to the three top senior collection designers. At the show's curtain call, the ȷ Fashion Department's 2019 graduates and awardees will strut the catwalk, followed by an after-party featuring captivating beats by DJ SnickatNight and a dessert reception.

This year's production will pay tribute to Fashion Department Chair Kamille Hitz, who passed away earlier this Spring. At the May 19th show, Chair Hitz will be honored with a proclamation from the City and County of San Francisco; an educational scholarship in honor of her and in her name; and a commemorative performance by the Rockabelly dance troupe that she founded.
