Office of the Chancellor

Dear College Community,

We’re writing to let you know we stand in solidarity with Mayor London Breed, Governor Newsom and other elected officials in their condemnation of the planned ICE raids. Earlier this year we circulated information about the College’s policy regarding federal immigration enforcement activities. As a reminder, City College of San Francisco is a sanctuary college. In recognition of this, the Board of Trustees adopted a resolution in September 2017 (attached) declaring that District employees will not assist in federal immigration enforcement activities. Visit this link for information advising employees on the appropriate steps to take if a federal immigration official comes to your office or classroom. Additional information can be found on the District’s DACA website.

For information about immigration legal help in San Francisco, visit or call the Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs at 415-581-2360. Residents can call the SF Rapid Response Hotline at 415-200-1548 to report raids.

In solidarity,

Dr. Mark Rocha, Chancellor
City College of San Francisco
