I welcome each of you back, and wish everyone a safe and healthy 2021.

On Thursday, December 31, the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) extended its stay-at-home order and 10-day travel quarantine, indefinitely. Under the stay-at-home order, outdoor dining, indoor personal care services and other activities are prohibited. The city's travel policy requires a mandatory quarantine of 10 days for anyone traveling, moving or returning to the city from anywhere outside the Bay Area. With the exception of essential personnel, all ÃÈ·µ¼º½ employees will continue to work remotely. The State of California webpages are being updated daily on the .

ÃÈ·µ¼º½ will continue to move forward with online Spring registration, as well as the SFDPH approved limited in-person registration for non-credit courses at specific Centers. Many of our students will have questions regarding registration and we must meet them where they are at. We need to communicate as a united front and we need all hands on deck. Please make sure to share this number for registration with your students and networks: 415-239-3858.

We are committed to continue providing essential services to our students. Therefore, on January 19, when all service providers are back on campus and the Spring Semester begins, all previously conducted student essential services will resume: health services, flu shots and food cards. We will be providing updated information and schedules for distribution shortly.

Finally, the Outreach Department rolled out the Spring 2021 Full-Time Incentive Grant, funded by AB19. A total of 800 scholarships ($500 each) will be available to students who attend full-time (12+ units) and meet other requirements. Applications will be available on Scholarship Universe from 1/11-1/29. Please share this information with students.

We are living in unprecedented times, but I know our community is strong and resilient. As we continue with remote learning and operations in the Spring Semester, I know that we will work collaboratively and relentlessly to meet the needs of all of our students.

And, as always, thank you for all that you do for our community at City College and beyond.
