An introduction to the Autodesk AutoCAD software, starting with a basic understanding of the software interface and moving to two dimensional line drawings for an architectural application. Explore collaborative drawing with externally referenced files and management using a layering system.
This class is part of and is 17.5 weeks, taught partially synchronously with weekly Zoom meetings on Thursdays 12-1pm (optional live attendance). Coursework requires the use of Canvas and a PC or Mac laptop (not Chromebook) is required to install and use AutoCAD with student licenses available at no cost. Exams are administered through Canvas and the midterm must be taken between March 10-16 and the final must be taken between May 12-18.
