Catalog Description

An introductory portfolio production course in preparation for a career in commercial, documentary or fine arts photography or for transfer to a four-year institution. Focus will be on technical and aesthetic issues as well as portfolio presentation and marketing strategies.

Section Notes

This class requires in-person and live online meetings. Students will have access to the ÃÈ·­µ¼º½ PHOT lab, equipment, and printers. Live online meetings take place on Mondays from 1:10 pm – 4:00 pm and require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. In-person meetings will take place on Wednesdays from 1:10 pm – 4:00 pm at Ocean Campus and culminate in a end of semester group show and public portfolio walkthrough.
