Photography related work experience and further career development in a supervised setting. Work experience in an approved industry facility such as a photography studio, publication, design studio, art gallery or museum and/or production team. Or work in the photography department. Professional presence, networking, communication and interview skills are addressed. One unit of credit is earned for 54 hours of unpaid or paid work.
This is a capstone class for 3rd or 4th-semester PHOT students who have or will secure an internship equal to 65 hours per unit or more total in the semester. 1unit=65hrs, 2 units=130hrs etc. Students are responsible for securing their own internship but may seek guidance from the Instructor and ÃÈ·µ¼º½ Career Services Department. Meetings for the class will be in person and on Zoom. Students will use canvas to turn in homework, timesheets, journals, and employer paperwork. Students must have completed at least three ÃÈ·µ¼º½ PHOT courses and have the approval of the Department Chair to remain enrolled in a class.
