Catalog Description

Designed to meet the requirements of the State and National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Education Standards for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) basic level provider. Students acquire the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills required to provide emergency care and transportation of the ill and injured. Includes required clinical experience on ambulance.

Section Notes

EMT 100 is an in-person course that meets on Mondays for lab, and Tuesdays and Wednesday for lecture at the scheduled times. This course is a tech-enhanced course and requires the use of Canvas. Some coursework is completed on Canvas using an internet-enabled device.

Requisites

PREREQ: EMT 12 or (current AHA or ARC healthcare provider CPR card)
