Loss of Enrollment Priority & California Community College Promise Grant (CCPG)
Per Title 5, Section 58101 Regulations of the California Community College System, a second consecutive (fall/spring semesters) on academic or progress notice will result in the loss of CCPG. Academic progress standards will apply once a student has attempted at least 12 semester units, as shown by the academic record. Former foster youth up to 24 years of age are exempted from this regulation.
Academic Standard
Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0
Progress Standard
Cumulative satisfactory completion of more than 50% of attempted units
Steps to Appeal the Loss of CCPG/Priority Registration
- File a for the semester in which you want to re-qualify for the CCPG.
- A typed statement of your situation is required.
- A comprehensive educational plan with all courses needed to complete the educational goal listed, prepared by a counselor.

Fall: The day before priority registration begins
Spring: The day before priority registration begins
Summer: The day before priority registration begins

DEADLINE DATES for CCPG Appeal:
Fall: Last Friday of September
Spring: Last Friday of February
Summer: Last Friday of July
**Please note all submissions will be reviewed by a committee once a semester after the deadline for submission. Appeals submitted after the deadline may not be considered.
